On any given week, I will pack a minimum of a dozen lunches! Lunch packing is something that is in my everyday routine and something I really enjoy. With that said, I am extremely picky about the lunch boxes and lunch packing containers that I use for myself and my family.
The company called Smart Planet carries all kinds of household products and all of their products are eco-friendly. When shopping at Smart Planet you will find eco-friendly cold cups, hot cups, eco lunch boxes, eco lunch packing accessories, cupcake makers, donut makers and more! This is a really cool store that I was recently introduced to and so far, loving everything that I see.
The company sent me their Collapsible Silicone Lunch Box – Round with 3 Compartments to check out for all of you. I have never used silicone lunch boxes or lunch accessories before, so I was intrigued about this when I was contacted and asked to do a review. It comes in 4 fun colors: blue, pink, green and orange. (I received the orange.)
The lunch box is microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe which I really appreciate. I use a microwave at work to heat up my hot lunches and transferring food to a microwave-safe dish is not fun. Now I can store, tote and reheat all in this one cute lunch box container.
It has 3 deep compartments and will really hold a lot of food. I tend to pack left-overs from dinner the night before or I will pack sandwiches, soups, salads and a little dessert. These containers will accommodate anything and everything you might be packing in your lunch. They come with a little fork and spoon and they clip onto the inside of your lunch box container and I really like that! I don’t have to waste disposable utensils now and they are the perfect little size!
The really cool thing about this lunch box is that the silicone base (the compartments) will collapse when empty and when you put your food into them, they expand! I think that is super cool. It is really sturdy and durable, nothing flimsy about it. When I am done with my lunch, I rinse it out, collapse it and place the lid back onto it. Once home, open it up and toss it into my dishwasher for the next day.
