Now that summer is almost here I am really starting to have issues with dry skin and dry lips. Every year I go through this and I think it’s because I spend a lot of time outdoors in the warm weather. The great folks over at Carmex sent me a goodie box full of products to try out for all of you.
First up, the Carmex Lip Balm products! I am going to tell you a little bit about each different lip product and then my thoughts on them. All of the Carmex lip care products help to soothe dry, chapped lips and it helps to heal them and protect them from further problems.
The Original Carmex Lip Balm was actually manufactured in a little tiny jar. These days you can purchase it in a plastic jar, lip tube or in the classic Carmex stick that you are all used to seeing. The original formula has been around since 1937, with more than 1 billion jars sold! It is the original lip-tingling formula which helps to relieve symptoms of chapped lips and cold sores.
The Cherry Carmex Lip Balm was the very first flavored lip balm in a jar since 1937 by the Carmex company. It is a moisturizing lip balm with SPF 15 in it to help protect your lips while you are outdoors enjoying the weather. I love the cherry flavor and always find myself applying this one over and over as I love how it tastes!
The Strawberry Carmex Lip Blam is a moisturizing lip balm that contains SPF 15. It is available in the Carmex Tube and the Carmex Stick. Just like the cherry flavored one…I found myself grabbing this one a lot too! Delicious!
I received several jars, tubes and lip balm sticks for the above products and I have been sharing them all with my 26 year old daughter, my 65 year old mother and with my 45 year old best friend. We each have our favorites. My mother is what I call the classic girl and loves the original Carmex lip balm products. She grew up using it and to this day, it’s her #1 choice when it comes to lip balms. My daughter and my friend Renee both love the Cherry Carmex Lip Balm products so they snagged most of those but did leave me two of them to use which I love! My favorite out of the Carmex Lip Balm Products happens to be the Strawberry Lip Balm products as I am a strawberry type of girl. I love how easy they are to apply to my lips, how silky smooth and non-sticky they feel and they certainly do a great job at moisturizing and healing my dry lips. LOVE THEM!
I also received 2 tubes of the Carmex Healing Cream (one in a trial size tube and one in a travel size tube) and they couldn’t of came at a better time. We were just on vacation and I got way too much sun! My skin is peeling and super dry so these healing creams are doing a great job at healing it up and moisturizing it too! Love them!
The Carmex Healing Cream is thicker, more concentrated formula that penetrates deep into the skin to help repair extremely dry, cracked skin. I decided to use the cream on the bottoms of my feet and around my ankles. I love how thick it is and that it applies quickly and easily. I also appreciate that there is no fragrance to it. It is non-greasy and contains 9 healing ingredients.
The Carmex Healing Lotion is more the consistency of a lotion, so it’s thinner based and has a light, fresh clean scent to it. It has aloe and vitamin E in it to help moisturize your skin and to help heal and protect your skin from dryness. Since I am a frequent hand washer, I decided to use the healing lotion three times a day for the past week. It is doing an excellent job at moisturizing my hands and I love that it’s non-greasy and doesn’t take a long time to absorb. A few quick rubs and I am off and doing what I need to do for the day. It’s fantastic!

The Cherry Lip Balm is probably my favorite Carmex product, I prefer cherry over strawberry.
