Pan-Fried Cinnamon Sticky Buns

Pan-Fried Cinnamon Sticky BunsMy family loves cinnamon sticky buns. I will often make them for them to enjoy with their breakfast or as an after-school snack. Since we have “nut allergies” I don’t add any nuts to any of the recipes that I use. When I don’t have time to bake from scratch…I purchase them already-made from a local bakery. I have to admit, their’s are better than mine!

One of the ways we like to enjoy them is after they’ve been pan-fried in a skillet with some butter. (not margarine). You only need a tablespoon or so of butter that you melt in the frying pan over low heat. Tear-apart the sticky buns into bite-size pieces. Toss them into the melted butter and simmer over low heat for 2-3 minutes. That’s it…done!

The melted butter adds the most delicous flavor. The simmering in the frying pan gives the outside of the bun a little bit of a crispy texture which we love! These are best served warm…right after taking them out of the pan!!! If you have any that are leftover…let them cool, wrap and then refrigerate. They’re delicious when prepared this way.
