Synopsis: The Resident stars Matt Czuchry (The Good Wife), and is a powerful new medical drama that focuses on the final years of a young doctor’s training and rips back the curtain to reveal both the good and the bad in hospitals across the country.
Disc One Includes: The Pilot, Independence Day, Comrades in Arms and Identity Crisis.
Disc Two Includes: None the Wiser, No Matter the Cost, The Elopement, Family Affair and Lost Love.
Disc Three Includes: Haunted, And the Nurses Get Screwed, Rude Awakenings and the Raptor, Run, Doctor, Run, and Total Eclipse of the Heart.
My thoughts: As a retired nurse I’ve always enjoyed watching hospital dramas on TV. I was a big fan of the hit TV shows ER, Chicago Hope and others. I’m also a big fan of watching medical reality TV shows too! Last year I wanted to watch The Resident, but never had a chance…so I was excited to receive the Season One DVD Set.
Last week I sat down to watch the series and so far I’m through Disc One and Disc Two. I’ve got the third disc to watch next week. I’m totally hooked on The Resident and find it realistic, entertaining, educational and engaging. The characters draw you into their lives and make you feel that you know them. For those who aren’t in the medical field…you’ll see what goes on in a hospital setting behind the scenes and learn some valuable things along the way. For those of you who do work in the medical field…you’ll find the series engaging!
