Every week I’m responsible for packing my husband’s lunch for work. He’s been trying to eat healthier for the past year, so often times he packs a lunch. When it comes to lunch packing, the majority of the time I pack up the previous night’s dinner leftovers for him to enjoy at work.
When it comes to finding great lunch box containers, I’m all about light-weight, but yet durable, food-safe containers that can go from the freezer or fridge to the microwave. In addition, I insist on dishwasher-safe containers, since I’m not a fan of hand washing dishes.
Recently we had the opportunity to try out the Quantum Meal Prep Lunch Box Bento Containers that we received from Amazon. These containers are sold in a 6-pack and have colorful lids. I appreciate that the container is clear (I can see the inside contents) and I think having colorful lids is just plain fun!
The containers are BPA-free, dishwasher safe, freezer safe, microwave safe and refrigerator safe. Each container has 3 divided compartments, a large compartment for your main dish or sandwich and then two smaller compartments for your sides. The main compartment holds 2 1/2 cups, the smaller holds 3/4 cup and the smallest section holds a 1/4 cup. Perfect for those of you who are working on your portion control.
When it comes to storage, all of the containers will nest inside one another which saves you on storage space. If you’re using them to hold foodie items in your freezer and/or refrigerator, they stack nicely on top of one another. Since each lid has an outer ridge, they don’t slide all around when stacked on top of one another.
One of the things I love about these containers is their lids. I can easily get them on and off the container without struggling with them. Sometimes container lids fit too tightly and I have to struggle with them, but these are just perfect. Each lid has a corner pull-tab and that’s one of the best features with the lids!
The containers are perfect for hot or cold items…we found that the containers work equally as well with both. When it comes to cleaning…we put them on the top rack in our dishwasher and they come out sparkling clean every time. Since hubby enjoys a lot of Italian foods, I tested two of the containers out with tomato sauce to see if they would stain…well guess what? His lasagna sat in the containers for about 27 hours and no staining and that makes me really happy!
These lunch box bento containers are really nice for the price! They’re generously sized, easy-to-use and clean-up fantastically. I’m really pleased with the quality and the performance of these containers!
You can purchase them directly from Amazon for a really great price and they’re Amazon Prime eligible.

I have some bento box containers and use them frequently for my grandkids lunches for school. I like them better than any other containers I have but I do notice that the brand I have is hard on the lids after being in the dishwasher. I will have to try this brand.
I love that these containers are to clean and don’t stain. I like that they are clear and have colorful lids. Both of these make it easier to identify the container.
I love using containers llke this. I dont have this brand, but another, and I have to say they work well. I love how nice they are for leftovers and to make a lunch for the next day. I also like how they can be frozen, and reheated so easily.
