I’m 68 years old and love fashion. However, a lot of the fashion trends you see going on these days is for the younger gals and younger women. A lot of them are not appropriate for a mature woman of my age.
One way that I can enhance my fashion style is by adding a few gorgeous hats to my wardrobe. Hats are a great way to add a pop of color to whatever you’re wearing and they help to keep your head warm during cold winter days.
Recently I received a beautiful hat from Dorfman Pacific from their Scala collection. The hat is made out of 100% boiled wool and is a one-size fits most. It done in black with heather-gray trim. This is the type of hat that’s meant to fit snuggly on your head and is constructed to keep you warm.
On the side of the hat is an attached boiled wool black flower. You can wear it to the side of the hat, to the front or wear it in the back. I like wearing it on the side and I think having the heather-gray trim peeking out around the entire circumference of the hat is just darling.
What’s great about this style of woman’s hat is that you can wear it casually during the weekends, wear it to the business office or if you’re going out for a night on the town, it would look equally as well with a nice faux-fur coat and cocktail dress. In addition, it’s what I call ageless. I can see my 30 year old granddaughter, my 48 year old daughter and myself, all wearing it.
You can head on over to Dorfman Pacific to check out their entire collection of hats for men and women. I think every woman needs a few beautiful hats in her fashion accessory collection.

I always wear a hat when I go out this time of year. It is fun to have a variety of styles and colors for fashion but yet great way to keep warm. I like the black with the grey trim that you are wearing. Very versatile.
I love hats and where them all year. I wear floppy hats at the beach., basseball caps to events and I have a Gilligans hat that I proudly wear to work at the garden center. I have a dozen different hats and earmuffs for the winter season aas well.
I don’t have a lot of hats andI do feel I could use more of them. You can really make a fashion statement with the correct hat and it can add panache to your outfit.
I love hats but never feel like I look good in them. Is it possible that some of us just can’t wear hats, lol?? Maybe, I just need to find a style that works.
I wear hats year round. Warm in the winter and shady big ones in the summer. I also wear scarves in the winter to keep my neck warm.
You look great in your new hat! Living in a cold climate, it’s really important to have a good winter hat (or two, or three), but when the hat is pretty and makes you feel good, it’s a pleasure to wear one. Most of mine are utilitarian. I love yours, with the lovely flower and trim details.
I have a lot of hats and especially love my berets and newsboy caps. I’m between the ages of you and your daughter but really anything goes here in LA, so I don’t really care what people think and wear what I want. I love looking at the hats on Dorfman Pacific and could use a new hat.
I agree, many are made for the ‘younger’ crew, and although they are fun we look a tad silly (unless we dont mind it) I go for warm and comfort now less than flash. I like your hat with a touch of grey. I also love it is wool and so it is warm! I live where it is pretty cold, you ought to see some of my ‘get ups’ when keeping warm !
I love wearing hats and gloves and scarfs this time of year. I think you look very pretty in that hat. I am going to check out their site thanks for sharing and hope you have a very Happy New Year.
