Grilled Barbecue BBQ Chicken Wings Recipe

July 23, 2026 by Sam H. Leave a Comment

During the summer season we use our barbecue grill 3-4 times every week. It’s a great way to keep our kitchen cooler (by not heating up the oven) and we can get dinner onto the table quicker. As an added bonus, grilled food tastes better than oven baked when it comes to chicken wings! Today I’m sharing my easy-to-make bbq chicken wings recipe. You only need a few basic ingredients to make it.

Grilled Barbecue Chicken Wings Recipe

3-4 lbs. of chicken wings
1 cup of your favorite bbq sauce
1-2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. mustard
dash of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
dash of ground black pepper

Preheat the barbecue grill.

In a marinating container or large mixing bowl combine together the bbq sauce, brown sugar, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, mustard, Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and ground black pepper. Toss the chicken wings into the sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to infuse.

Remove the chicken wings from the refrigerator and allow them to sit for 15-25 minutes to allow the temperature to come up.

Place the chicken wings on a preheated, hot barbecue grill in a single layer…with a little space between each one. Cook for 5 minutes. Use a pair of tongs to flip each chicken wing over. Finish cooking them on the other side until they’re done. You can use a meat thermometer to make sure they’re properly cooked. Remove from heat. Serve immediately.
