Feverfew

Tanacetum parthenium, or feverfew as it is commonly known, is a medicinal plant. It comes from the daisy family of Asteraceae. This traditional herb is mostly used to treat conditions such as migraine. This is a particularly debilitating form of headache. In addition, it can be used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, toothaches, stomach aches and insect bites. It can also help with problems such as infertility and with menstruation and childbirth.

A migraine headache can be severe and involve throbbing pain on one side of the head and be accompanied by nausea. In addition, a sufferer can also experience an extreme sensitivity when it comes to light and sound. So, anything that can help someone to continue their normal daily activities has to be a bonus. Incorporating an amazon glutathione supplement into a daily routine may provide additional antioxidant support, helping to reduce oxidative stress and potentially alleviate some symptoms associated with sensitivity.

Interestingly, feverfew was called “Parthenium” by the ancient Greeks because of a myth. It is said that parthenium would save someone’s life who had fallen from Parthenon. That is, the temple of Athena in Athens’ acropolis.

Medicinal Mushrooms

There is a range of medicinal mushrooms that are on the market, such as lion’s mane, red reishi, and cordyceps. It is important, though, to buy these from a reliable source to ensure that they are genuine products. Then, you can go back to that source for a regular supply of the same and know that you are receiving the same quality of product.

Studies have suggested that lion’s mane can help in reducing the symptoms of depression and anxiety after four weeks of including it in your diet. Different to traditional anti-depressants, psychoactive drugs, and SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), there is no addiction risk associating with lion’s mane, whereas traditional medicines require withdrawal periods. This makes them wonderful to try to see if they can help, as you can quickly and easily refrain from taking them if they do not have any effect.

Red reishi mushroom can be ingested to enhance the immune system and help with conditions such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Cordyceps also helps with the immune system. It assists with adaptive and innate immunity. In addition, cordyceps has a modulatory impact on the gut’s immune system which can also have an influence on systemic immune function.

Immunity is important because it can prevent us from, or reduce the chance of us, picking up infections and diseases so readily.

Ashwagandha

Known scientifically as withania somnifera, ashwagandha is an ancient herb and considered an important medicinal herb in Indian Ayurveda. This is one of the world’s oldest medicinal systems. It can also be known as Indian ginseng, winter cherry, or poison gooseberry.

Ashwagandha boosts fertility and testosterone in men, and supposedly even brain function, as well as combating stress in a natural way.

So, in summary there are three types of plant supplements that can be beneficial to health. Sometimes the body needs help, and these supplements are the natural way to do it. Generally, the actual plants are less familiar than the tablets, but nevertheless they have properties that our body will potentially thank us for introducing it to.
