Having the plow trucks come through our neighborhoods and residential areas is a necessary thing. As a resident, I completely understand that and I appreciate the hard work that the Transportation Dept. does during winter storms. With that said, I don’t understand why the plow trucks in our neighborhood like to push the snow 12 foot deep into my driveaway!!! Seriously? Push that darn snow to the end of the street or into the one business owner’s large parking lot but quit pushing it into my driveaway!!!
For 5 years I’ve been complaining about this. I’m 65 years old and after each snow storm I have to go out there to use my snow blower and shovel to dig out my driveaway from all of the snow that the plow trucks pushed in. It’s hard enough to remove the naturally fallen snow….I don’t need EXTRA feet of snow and ice plowed and thrown on top of it. My complaints over the years have gotten me no where. Year after year it continues!!! I’m sick and tired of it!
My wife took a photograph of me out last week trying to clear our driveaway after the plows dumped snow and ice into our driveway 4 times earlier that day. Like I said, I’m 65 and a Senior. I can’t be out there for hours cleaning up their mess! The reason they pick my driveaway is because it’s larger than most down our street and I also pull our 2 vehicles around the back of the house and under the carport. That gives them an empty driveway to plow the snow into.
I’m so tired of this….I’m sending an official complaint letter about it to the state department of transportation. There are other places they can push and throw the snow from the plow truck other than tossing it into my driveaway!
