This year I’ll be hosting a few get togethers for family and friends and needed some new dinnerware and serving pieces. I decorate in a coastal cottage style, so I knew the pieces that I purchased had to work for everyday use and work with an my party theme for get togethers. Well, I finally found some beautiful colored glass hobnail bowls that I just had to have!

These Hobnail Glass Bowls come in a variety of different colors and slightly different styles. I selected the aqua color to go with our coastal decor in our kitchen. I love the size and shape of these every day bowls, especially the straight up and down sides. They’re not angled or scalloped. The hobnail pattern is only on the outside of each bowl…with the inside being smooth as can be. They’re a nice semi-weighty bowl too…which speaks to their quality. They’re not thin and you don’t see any air bubbles in the glass at all.
You can use these bowls as cereal bowls, dessert bowls, soups, salads and as serving bowl. They’re a versatile size and style. When not in use you could also place a flameless candle inside the bowl and use it as part of your home decor. They’re dishwasher safe, but I personally hand wash the set that I purchased. In addition, I don’t use them in the microwave. I want to keep them looking nice! I picked up two sets so that I have a total of 8 glass bowls.
If you’re looking for something elegant to put onto your table…I would suggest going with colored glass hobnail plates, bowls, glasses and serving pieces.
