My wife and I enjoy visiting the towns and cities throughout our great state of Pennsylvania. We will often jump into the car and head off for a day trip to a place that we’ve never visited before. There’s so much to see and do within your own home state! On a day trip a few months ago we were in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
We had heard about Fisher Veterans’ Parks from friends who used to live in the area. We finally had the time to stop by and wow…what an amazing little park! There are paved walking paths throughout the park with park benches that you can sit on. While they’re nice…the main attraction is the Veteran War Memorials located within the park. It’s always nice to see towns and cities doing things like this to honor the veterans…past, present and future.

At the southern end of the park you’ll find this large military tank sitting there for the public to see. Then there’s the famous “hiker” statue that honors veterans from turn-of-the-century conflicts like the Spanish-American War. I believe the statue was made in the late 1940’s.
If you’re going to be in Lebanon or Lebanon County…Fisher Veterans’ Park would make a nice little visit. Take the kids along with you so that you can teach them about American history. It’s important that we all honor and respect our veterans! History education is KEY when it comes to preserving American history and heritage.

Above you’ll see a few photographs from our visit. It was well-worth our time to stop by! We give this little neighborhood park a big two-thumbs up!
