Do your kids enjoy eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? If so, they’ll probably like these peanut butter, fruit jam and marshmallow s’mores! My 10 year old grandson and 16 year old granddaughter love them as an afterschool snack. They’re easy-to-make using a microwave oven. Older kids can make them on their own while the younger ones will need adult assistance.

Instead of using bread like a traditional pb & j peanut butter and jelly sandwich you’ll be using graham crackers. We warm up the graham crackers in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds with a large mashmallow placed on top of the cracker. You just want them warm and melty.
Remove from the microwave carefully. They will be hot. The half that didn’t have the marshmallow on top….use a butter knife to add a swath of peanut butter and then a swath of your favorite fruit jam. Place the two halves together. As soon as they’re cool enough to eat…enjoy!
My grandchildren like to use a wide variety of homemade fruit jams…with concord grape and blueberry being two of their favorites. You can use regular marshmallows or flavored marshmallows. If the kids are into chocolate…you could certainly add a block of chocolate or a few semi-sweet chocolate chips too!
Leftovers – Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They can be reheated in the microwave for 10-20 seconds if needed.
