Brownies…they’re a staple in our household. My grandchildren prefer a chocolate brownie over a cookie any day. When it comes to brownies…they’re all about the chocolate, no nuts varieties. They enjoy chocolate or peanut butter chips tossed into the batter from time to time to keep things interesting. Today’s recipe is a classic homemade chocolate brownies recipe. You can certainly toss in chopped nuts or chocolate chips if desired. This recipe is made utilizing just one mixing bowl!!!

2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 medium eggs

If you want to toss in chocolate chips or chopped nuts…hand stir those into the batter until incorporated.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. Place into a 350 degree F preheated oven. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the center is done. You don’t want to over-bake them! Remove from the oven and let them sit in the pan until cool. Once cool, cut into squares. Store the squares in an airtight container.
