Synopsis: BIRD BOY – an enchanting adventure and a triumphant tale of friendship. Orphaned August is a kid who doesn’t seem to belong anywhere – until he ends up on a farm in the South African countryside. Skeptical at first of his well-meaning foster parents and struggling to fit in at his new school, everything changes when August stumbles upon an egg. When the egg hatches and out pops a tiny ostrich, an everlasting friendship is born. August and his ostrich, named Koobus, spend every moment together and their days are filled with fun, companionship, and lots of dancing. Until one day, Koobus tries to defend August from the school bully and ends up being sent away to an ostrich farm. Determined to rescue his friend, August will risk it all and together they learn the true meaning of friendship.
