Every holiday season we like to take our grandchildren out for a drive through our community to see all of the Christmas lights and decorations. This year we got them out for three rides through our area and one of the towns nearby. My wife always packs snacks and drinks for us to enjoy while we’re out driving around. I play Christmas music to get everyone into the holiday mood.
Two weeks ago we stumbled upon a very unusual Christmas and holiday display in one home’s front and side yard. When I say unusual, I really mean unusual. Typically you would see 2 dozen skeletons in a yard during Halloween…not Christmas! However, these home owners decorate year round using skeletons! They LOVE skeletons and get really creative when using them!
We’ve seen the skeletons decked out in a patriotic theme, an Easter/Spring thing, summer wearing beach clothing and of course their Christmas them which I’m showing you today. This year the skeletons are wearing their finest holiday clothing and carrying around caskets! Yes, caskets! They had many cars and people stopping by to see their holiday yard art display.
After the holiday is over…we’re going to drive by again in a few weeks to see how they decorate the skeletons for the winter season. Stay tuned…we’ll update with some new photos and link the posts together, so that you can follow along.
