Why I Use Stainless Steel Cookie Dough Scoops

December 12, 2025 by Classystaff

Cookie making…cookies are my favorite thing to make when it comes to homemade baked goods. You’ll find thousands of different recipes from all around the world online. There’s always a new recipe to try out along with the classics that you currently make. When it comes to baking homemade cookies it’s important to get them uniform in size. Why?

When you drop your cookie dough onto the baking sheet you want them to be uniform in size so that they all finish baking at the same time. If you’re just dropping by a large spoon…some will be smaller than others. Some will be thicker than others. By using a Stainless Steel Cookie Dough Scoop you can get them more uniform in size and thickness. This makes for more even baking and a prettier appearance once done.

You can use the Stainless Steel Cookie Dough Scoops for scooping out small amounts of ice cream, frozen yogurts, making homemade chocolate candies (think truffles), etc. I’ve used them to make melon balls too! When purchasing, I highly recommend that you get a set that is made out of food-grade stainless steel. You want them to last you for many years with no pitting or rusting.

The majority of the scoops that you buy will be dishwasher safe. Make sure that you get them completely clean after each use. If you’re hand-washing them…make sure you towel dry them to keep them looking nice. When storing them…they should lay flat within a drawer. Please don’t toss other items ontop. With proper care, they should last you for many years, if not decades!
