My husband and I are empty nesters and do a lot of traveling. We enjoy going out across America on road trips to see various things off the beaten path. Sure, we visit tourist destinations but a lot of our favorite trips have been to small towns across the U.S.A. We’re firm believers in spending our money in America and helping the American economy instead of traveling overseas.

When traveling I’m looking to take the least amount of stuff along with us. That includes personl care products and make-up. I was finding that I needed an entire travel bag to just hold all of my cosmetics and make-up brushes! I decided to downsize and ONLY travel with the items that I needed. Items that are smaller in size, light-weight and compact but yet get the job done.
I purchased two Malibu Glitz Make-Up Kits to replace all of the make-up I usually take when we travel. This was the first time I had even heard of Malibu Glitz and was excited to try them. The kits have numerous eye shadows, application brushes, blush, face powder, lip glosses and some include mascara. Both kits had a nice mirror in the lid. They both fold-up into a compact size.
Now…I do want to be honest. I have used some very expensive beauty products over the years that I love. I will continue to use them at home. With that said, these more affordable make-up kits are perfect for traveling. If I lose one or leave it behind I’m not going to cry about it for days. Furthermore, the space-saving in my luggage is woth it. I can take more clothes and less beauty products with me. The make-up in my honest opinion is decent but not the best that I’ve used. For my traveling needs…it works just fine!
If you’re expecting high quality professional cosmetics…these are not that. These make-up products are on the average, but affordable side. I’ve used much…much worse! I’ve used my 2 make-up kits on 2 different road trips and liked the results that I’m getting. They’re quick and easy to use. No liquids to spill, no glass bottles to lug around, etc. Everything is compact and in one place. In addition to being great travel kits…I think they would be awesome kits for the young teenager who is just getting into make-up for the first time.
