Do you and your family have any Christmas eve family traditions? Every year we like to have a nice Christmas eve dinner today (just those in our household) and then we head to church for services. Once we get home we typically try to get into bed early because we get up at the crack of dawn on Christmas. Our day starts around 5-6 AM with church services and as soon as we get home the cooking and baking begins.
When we still had young children at home we would go out for a car ride through the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights and holiday displays. Once we got home we got into our new holiday pajamas to watch a Christmas special on TV, snack on freshly popped popcorn and to sip on hot cocoa. Our daughter was usually snoozing by 10pm exhausted from the day. Once asleep, we got busy finishing up wrapping gifts and hauling them up from their hiding place to be put underneath the Christmas tree.
