Alegria is a brand that I’m semi-familiar with. I have a lot of friends and family members who work in the healthcare field who wear Alegria footwear exclusively to work every day. They’re always telling me how comfortable they are! They absolutely swear by the comfort and quality of Alegria footwear.

The past 12 years have been difficult on my body. I’ve had 2 hip replacements, a knee replacement and a wrist replacement. On top of that, I fractured my left foot…twice! Finding comfortable shoes to wear has been difficult for me. I want comfort and style…all in one! I don’t want shoes that look like something my grandmother would wear. I wanted something stylish and modern but met all of my comfort needs.
A few months ago I finally jumped on the Alegria footwear bandwagon and purchased my first pair. I bought a pair of Women’s Slip-On Summer Sandals. They have 2 straps across the vamp that are completely adjustable. I have medium width feet but at times they can swell a little bit if I’m standing on them a little too long. Adjustability was important to me.
I love that these are hands-free. I can slide my foot in and just go! As a chronic pain sufferer, I can’t always bend down to get into a pair of shoes! Next, I love how they cradle my foot. There’s great arch support and the footbed has all of the contours that you need. They fit my feet perfectly. They have just the right amount of cushion along with support. I wear the sandals without socks. and the liner feels great against my bare skin.
Why did I select this particular style to start with? Besides everything that I already said…I like that I can wear these 2-strap sandals with shorts, capris, ankle pants, skirts, dresses, denim jeans and slacks. I can wear them with just about everything during the late Spring, Summer and early Fall months in the northeast. If you live south…you could wear them year-round.
