When University Games sponsored a contest to publish an original board game idea, a talented artist from Otis College of Art and Design scurried to gather they’re fun dog themed concept to meet the deadline. The result is University Games’ new Puppy Pile™, the adorable puppy themed card game, which arrives in stores in September 2025.
To play Puppy Pile 2-4 players, ages 6 and up must collect the most of one breed of puppy to win the game. However, players must look out for golden squeakers and angry kittens, which may give them an advantage or disadvantage to winning the game. It comes with 150 cards, an instruction sheet and game storage box.

We host a family game night in our house almost weekly. My kids love board and card games. They would rather play these type’s of games than video games! Puppy Pile is a fun card game to play. The concept is easy to understand making it perfect for my 10 year old son and his friends to play. As a parent…I appreciate that it’s a card game. We can easily pack it into a suitcase when we’re traveling or in an overnight bag for sleepovers.
When my son has sleepovers…puzzles, games and age-appropriate movies are what the boys get to enjoy. I think every family should go back to the classic games and unplug those video games! Are you a teacher? Childcare provider? If so, this would be a great game to have in your classroom too! Need a educational but yet fun Christmas gift? A birthday gift for a child age 6 years and up? Puppy Pile would be a great gift to give!
Head on over to University Games to check out all of the fun games that they have to offer. You’ll find games for everyone in your family…from toddlers to seniors and everyone in between. You can connect with the company on Facebook and Instagram.
