How many of you photograph state line road signs when you’re traveling? Apparently it’s a thing! We went on a road trip a few months ago traveling through 6 different states. We love taking road trips across America to visit small towns and sites that we normally wouldn’t see without a road trip!
One thing that we noticed as we were out on the road is the number of travelers who pull off to the side of the road to just take photographs of state line signs! In some areas….it would be safer to do than in others. I personally would NEVER do it alongside a congested highway or interestate. I saw MANY people doing that which I think is dangerous. Regardless, it’s their life. With that said, if you’re on a back road or something where it’s safer…why not?

While on our road trip I did snap a few state line signs while staying in our vehicle and while moving. Sure, they’re not crisp and clear…but it was a LOT safer for me to photograph the signs staying inside the vehicle. So…I was curious to see how many others photograph the signs and do you do it while moving (in the car) or do you stop the vehicle alongside the road and get the photo that way? What’s your thoughts on this?
