I had never heard of Two Pig Mafia Steak Seasoning until a friend of mine sent me a bottle to try. This steak seasoning is versatile. It can be used on steaks, hamburgers, beef roasts, prime rib, chops, etc. It’s made in the USA using high-quality ingredients. The seasoning was created by SCA Steak Champion Robby Staggs of the Two Pigs Mafia BBQ Team. This was a “new to me” steak seasoning and was excited to give it a try.

The first thing I used it on was steaks…of course! I seasoned both sides of three steaks and tossed them onto the barbecue grill. I cooked 2 medium-well and 1 that was well-done. After grilling, I left them “rest” for 5 minutes before serving them. Wow….they were delicious! I would describe the seasoning as being “medium” in it’s flavor profile. It’s NOT hot and spicy…but yet it’s not mild and tasteless. It’s the perfect in between. Delicious.
Okay…it’s great for steaks…but what about seasoning a big beef roast with it and slow cooking it all day long in the slow cooker? Well, I’m happy to report that is perfect for that too! My wife placed a beef roast into the slow cooker with beef broth and water. She then seasoned it up with the Two Pigs Mafia Steak Seasoning. She tossed some sliced carrots, potatoes and chopped onions in with it all. Placed the lid on top and left it slow cook for about 6 hours on the low heat setting. This seasoning flavored the entire roast…from the outside in to the center. Everything! A very nice flavor profile.
If you haven’t tried the Two Pigs Mafia Steak Seasoning yet…I highly recommend that you give it a try. I couldn’t find it at any stores locally in our area…so I’ll be ordering it from an online retailer once I run out. I always enjoy trying out new spices and seasonings.
