After a long day, especially a stressful day…I like to take a long walk on the beach. Walking the beach is a great way to relieve stress and to relax. As an added bonus you’re getting out into the fresh air and getting physical exercise which most of us need. Every time we go out for a beach walk…I come back feeling refreshed and relaxed. There’s something about that salt air and sea breeze!
We like to go out for our walks about an hour or so before the sun is scheduled to set. Seeing a sunset while on the beach is amazing…especially one a clear weather day. One thing that I noticed over the past few weeks is that the sea birds tend to hit the beach at that time too! Let’s face it…the majority of people are off the beach for the day. That gives the birds plenty of room to grab a quick bite to eat before the sun sets.

Last week we were excited to see dolphins swimming right offshore while we were out on one of our evening beach walks. Any time that you see the dolphins…it’s a real treat! On that particular walk I found several special seashells and sea glass too. All of our walks seem to be memorable in one way or another.
If I could end every day with a long walk on the beach….I would!
