How to Make Your Own Halloween Ceramic Plates Yard Art

October 20, 2025 by Classystaff

Halloween Ceramic Plates Yard Art Craft ProjectLooking for an easy-to-make Halloween craft project? If so, check out this one! You’ll only need a few supplies and you can make dozens of them in just one weekend. You can use them to decorate your front and back yards or stick a few into a few larger sized houseplants.

Here are the items that you’ll need:

Ceramic Halloween Design Dessert or Dinner Plates
Gorilla Glue or E6000 Adhesive Glue
Metal Yard Stakes or Houseplant Stakes
Clear Acrylic Spray Sealer

You can check out Amazon, your local Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Home Goods and Home stores for ceramic plates. You want to use Gorilla Glue or E6000 Adhesive…do NOT use hot glue as they will quickly fall apart. Use a heavy-duty super glue.

For this project use one of the two type’s of glue listed above and glue the metal stake on the back of the plate. You want to make it good and sturdy, so I like the stake to be glued to the bottom 1/3 of the ceramic plate. Once you apply the glue let it sit for a good 24 hours to cure and set-up. If you’re going to be displaying them outside in the weather I do recommend that you spray them front and back with 1-2 coats of a clear acrylic spray sealer. Let them dry for 12-24 hours before displaying them.
