Flowers and Birds Rub-On Transfers for Crafts

October 9, 2025 by Classystaff

Rub-on Transfers are an excellent way to decorate some of your arts and craft projects. The transfers are easy to apply and can be applied to a wide variety of different surfaces. Try them on wood, glass, mirrors, ceramic tiles, seashells, smooth river rocks, art canvas boards, ceramic mugs, wax pillar candles, wooden boxes, furniture and all sorts of other things. You can buy them in thousands of different designs, colors and sizes.

If you enjoy birds and floral designs you’ll want to check out this set that contains colorful birds and beautiful flowers. This set contains 16 sheets. You can mix-n-match the designs to make your own unique one by cutting them out and grouping several elements that you like together. You don’t need any type of adhesive to apply these transfers onto your projects. You simply cut out the design, remove the backing sheet…rub the transfer onto your item and then pull off the top sheet. That’s it!

I paint a lot of kindess rocks and seashells. I like to paint the rock or seashell and then apply a rub-on transfer on top. To protect the transfer I brush 1-2 light coats of Clear Mod Podge over-the-top. I like using the one that gives you a glossy finish. Let it dry overnight and your project is ready to go. You can get really creative using these in various arts and craft projects.

Over the past 3 years I’ve used a lot of rub-on transfers in arts and craft projects. I’m not a professional decorative painter or artist…so it’s an easy way for me to add that artistic flair to my projects. Plus, you can find them for a fairly affordable price! If you enjoy painting kidness rocks and seashells…you’ll find 100+ easy to make designs on the TCC blog. How do you like using them in your various projects?
