My mother-in-law celebrated her 76th birthday last month. Every year for Mother’s day and her birthday we take her out for dinner. This year…she requested authentic Mexican cuisine for her birthday dinner. I knew just the place to take her. Pete’s! While a lot of restaurants in our area offer Mexican cuisine…I call it Mexican-style, not authentic cuisine. Pete’s offers authentic Mexican food at an awesome price!
Pete’s is a little restaurant in our area….locally-owned and operated. It’s not a franchise or big place! We love dining at little local places to help support those in our own community. Anyway, Pete’s has the best Mexican food in the Harrisburg area.
I took my mother-in-law and wife out to dinner. We really enjoyed spending time together and celebrating my MIL’s birthday. Afterwards, I took the girls to a local ice cream parlor for take-out sundaes which we took home. We were all too full to eat them there! Oh…that place is called 3B Ice Cream and I highly recommend their banana splits and blueberry sundaes…the best!
Spending time with family is so very important…especially spending time with the Seniors in our family. As seniors age they often feel lonely and forgotten. We go out of our way in our family to make sure our Senior members are given attention and we always show our appreciation to them.
