We had a nasty thunderstorm come through our area two weeks ago and it was terrible! For 90 minutes our house shook from the thunder, rain and sleet pelted our roof and lightning lit up the sky for miles. This storm was one of those…bye bye summer, fall is officially here type of storms. After it was over the humidity was gone and the temperatures had dropped 15 degrees. We always get a bad storm when the seasons are changing.
After the storm was over we went outside to survey the damage. Luckily, we only suffered a few minor things. While we were outside we caught a beautiful rainbow up in the sky. Matter of fact, our neighbors on both sides of us were outside viewing the rainbow too! Storms like that always show us the power of Mother Nature and the beauty that can come with it. That rainbow was visible for a long time…like 20 minutes or so before it finally disappeared. What a treat!
