All of us in Australia live in a time where you must always be trying to put your best foot forward and to look your best at all times. Creating the right first impression is so incredibly important, not only for your work but for your social life as well. Sometimes, it just takes small, yet positive changes over time to allow you to stay fashionable and to still be able to turn heads, no matter how old you are. The clothes that you wear say a lot about you, so it’s time to start choosing a little bit more wisely.
There are some staples, however, that you always need to have in your wardrobe, and some of them include a chic polo dress for important occasions, a good pair of jeans, a fashionable pair of shoes and the accessories that go along with all of these things. If you feel that your wardrobe is a complete mess and it’s full of clothes that don’t reflect the person that you are, the following are some top tips that will help you to be more fashionable.
* Buy for many occasions – You need to try to get yourself out of the habit of just buying an item of clothing for just one single occasion. We all do it, and it means that we empty out our purses quickly, and when another important occasion comes along, we need to get back out there to buy something else. This doesn’t make sense financially, so today is the day when you start choosing clothes that will give you the classic look and that can be worn more than once.
* Pick clothes that fit you – Many of us look at that beautiful polo dress that is a couple of sizes too small for us, and we convince ourselves that we will lose that additional weight so that we can fit into it. In the vast majority of cases, none of this comes to fruition, and you have a beautiful item of clothing sitting in your wardrobe that is never going to fit you, and you will never wear it. Shop smarter and choose clothing that actually fits you like the proverbial glove.
* Don’t buy because it’s cheap – You need to understand that most clothing stores have a sale sign in the window seven days a week and 365 days a year. The item of clothing that you feel you need to buy because it is 50% off has been at this price for some time now and is unlikely to change. This is another dirty habit that you need to get yourself out of, and don’t just buy something because it’s a great deal and the price has supposedly been slashed.
Another excellent idea is to put a routine in place so that when you buy a new item of clothing, something else has to leave the wardrobe. You can give it to your best friend or donate it.
