We have a 6 year old cat named Romeo who’s very set in his ways. He’s a cat that likes to follow a routine and stays on schedule. He’s very spoiled and we love him like a child. Two weeks ago we got him a new Rywell Stainless Steel Litter Box with Hood and Accessories from Amazon. The base is made out of stainless steel which prevents leakage and is non-stick. One of the things I love about the stainless steel is that we can take it out into our backyard for a good cleaning. One of the nice features with this cat litter box is that it has 2 entrances/exits. Romeo likes to enter through the front…do his business and then exit out through the top. That’s his “way”. If your cat prefers a non-hooded box…you can easily keep the hood off for a more “open air” design. Hey…cats have their own personalities and ways of doing things just like us!
This litter box comes with all of the accessories that you’ll need so everything will match and look nice together. There’s a 2-layer litter mat, a filter pedal and a pocket on the side of the box to hold the included litter scooper. The way that it’s designed…everything is contained and kept neat. That’s very important if the box is kept in an area where other people can easily see it. Not only do you not want odors seeping out of it…but you want it to always look neat and clean.
Here’s a tip for cat owners: When introducing a new litter box to your furry friend…set it up beside the current one. Let your cat get comfortable with having the new box there. They like to explore and get used to it first. After a few days when your cat seems comfortable with the new one…you can remove the old one and slide the new one into its place. For some kitties…this process can take a few days or up to a two weeks…depending on your cat.
