For decades I’ve been buying and using moderately-priced hair shampoo and conditioner. I always thought that the cheap stuff wouldn’t give me great results in regards to cleansing and conditioning. Over the years I’ve used at least a dozen different brands ranging in price from $8.00 to $35.00 per bottle.

Last month I was in Dollar Tree to pick up a few things…mainly paper products and cleaning items. Anyway, I went down the bath and body aisle and spotted the Eve St. Claire Pineapple Papaya Extra Volume Shampoo and the Eve St. Claire Pineapple Papaya Extra Volume Conditioner. I love anything pineapple scented during the summertime, so I decided to give these a try.
Each one comes in an easy-to-use 20 fl. oz. plastic bottle with a flip-top lid. According to the label…adds volume and strengthens hair and is for all hair types. Price $1.25 plus tax per bottle.
The next day I started using the shampoo and conditioner on my hair. I have thick, medium-length hair that typically requires a lot of conditioner to get the tangles out. The first thing I noticed is the fragrance. Oh my gosh…the pineapple and papaya is the perfect fragrance for this time of the year. Next…I liked the lather I got with the shampoo. It wasn’t overly-sudsy and was easy to rinse out of my hair. I then followed up with the conditioner. I typically have to use a lot…well, I found with this one I could cut down the amount to half of what I previously used. Yay! It rinsed out of my hair easily and left no greasy or oily film behind.
After washing and conditioning my hair I like to wrap it up into one of those cotton hair towel turbans and let it sit for at least 15 minutes before I use the hair dryer (if I’m going to use the dryer). I like to let my hair air-dry as often as possible which helps it to retain moisture and avoids heat damage. Don’t use big and heavy towels which can cause hair damage. Also, don’t wash and dry your hair on a daily basis. You only need to wash it like 3 times a week…depending on your activities.
I’ve been using the Eve St. Claire Pineapple Papaya Hair Shampoo and Conditioner for about 6 weeks now and absolutely love it! My hair is silky, soft, clean and manageable. For $1.25 per bottle…what a deal! I found both of them at our local Dollar Tree store. Heading to the Dollar Tree? If so, pick up a set and give them a try!!!
