Our son-in-law is really into the game of golf. He’s been golfing for almost 25 years. When I go out with him for a round of golf he always wins…I never have a chance. Yes, he’s that good! As his father-in-law I’m happy to see that he’s involved in a good physical activity which helps to keep him fit and active. These days…way too many people are couch potatoes.

Last weekend my wife and I were shopping at an antique store and came across this handcrafted metal iron golf club wall hook or coat rack. Not sure exactly what to call it. It’s heavy! The designer cut off the heads on vintage golf clubs and soldered them to the wire plate to make the hanging coat rack. They were used golf clubs, so a great way to recycle or upcycle used items turning them into a new functional piece of wall art.
There are 3 small drilled holes in the back plate so that he can easily hang-it-up on a wall. They’re currently having their house remodeled along with 3 new room additions being added. One of those new rooms will be his man cave and it’s being decorating in a golf theme. Hence…why we purchased this hand-crafted piece for him. We’ll be wrapping it up and gifting it to him at Christmas time along with several packs of new golf balls and golf tees.
Hand-crafted gifts are always so special. When selecting a hand-crafted gift make sure you take the time to REALLY think about the person you’ll be gifting it to. Make sure it’s something they will like and cherish. When possible, make sure it’s functional, not just decorative. In this case…it’s both!
