Drinking cucumber water is a great way to stay hydrated during the hot summertime months. Not only is it great for hydration…but it’s low in calories and great for those who are watching their weight. Much healthier than drinking a sugary soft drink or a sugar-filled juice drink.

Making your own cucumber citrus flavored water at home is a very easy process. Everyone does it differently but here’s how I like to make it.
You can remove the peel from a cucumber and slice it up or leave the peel on. That’s entirely up to you. I like to slice up a lemon and/or a lime…leaving the peel-on.
Fill up a large pitcher with water. You can use a regular beverage pitcher or buy an infusion beverage pitcher from Amazon. Toss the cucumber, lemon and lime slices into the water. Cover the pitcher and place it into the refrigerator. Let it chill for a good 2 hours or serve it over a glass filled with ice. The colder, the better in my honest opinion.
The cucumber and citrus slices give the water a nice flavor. You’ll need to play around with how many slices of each that you use in the pitcher to suit your own taste buds. We prefer a stronger citrus flavor and less of a cucumber flavor. You can also opt to toss in a few fresh berries like blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, mulberries or blackberries. Like mint? You can add a sprig of mint too!
It’s all about customizing the flavor to what you like…without adding any sugar!
