Fall…it’s a beautiful time of the year. The temperatures are cooler, the leaves are changing colors and high school football is in full swing. It’s a great time of the year to be spending time outdoors. It’s my second favorite (behind early summer) time of the year.
We like to be very involved in our local community and one way we like to show our support is by attending local high school football games. Our daughter was a cheerleader for 6 years when she was in junior high and high school. She’s now in her late 30’s with two children of her own. Even though my wife and I don’t have any kids in school…we still enjoy going to the games! We still cheer-on our local team which happens to do great every football season.
Attending football games are a great way to get out and meet other adults in your community. A time to mingle with other parents, get yourself out of the house and off the cough…while getting some much needed fresh air. On top of that…your helping to support your local school district and the kids who attend school. The kids LOVE seeing big crowds at their athletic events. The bigger the crowd, the more excited they are.
At this particular high school football game we were treated to one of the best sunsets that I’ve ever seen inland. (not a coastal or beach sunset). Check out those beautiful colors! The entire sky was lit-up!!! Everyone had their cellphones out of their pockets and was taking photographs of the sunset. It was one of the most impressive ones we’ve seen in our local area. Bring on the Autumn season!
