The past few months I’ve been on a soft pretzels with a melted cheese dip kick! Seriously, every time I see that being offered on a restaurant menu…I’m ordering it! Yes, I know they’re not good for my diet but I seriously just love them. Well, most of them!
When it comes to a soft pretzel I love them with salt. Fortunately, I can have salt in my daily diet as long as it’s in moderation. I like the pretzel to be warm (not hot) and soft. In other words, freshly made. I don’t like them over-baked or chilled. They have to be the perfect temperature for me to enjoy.
Let’s talk about the melted cheese dip. I don’t like any that have “heat”, onions, peppers, hot sauce or any of that jazz in them. I like just a plain melted cheese dip. When dining out…I’m picking if I’m sharing. There’s to be no double-dipping going on. I’m not trying to catch anyone else’s germs. Know what I mean? Of course you do!
If they’re reasonably priced I’ll order a second one to take home. I will wrap it up in 2-3 layers of freezer wrap and freeze it for later. When I’m ready to enjoy it…thaw at room temperature and then warm it up for 15-20 seconds in the microwave oven. YUMMY! I admit, not as good tasting as fresh…but it will do when I’m craving a soft pretzel and cheese dip!
