Last week I hit one of my favorite antique stores looking for a few unique items to get some things organized in our kitchen. One thing that I’m tackling is organizing the smaller items sitting on our coffee bar. Things like stir sticks, coffee creamers, coffee pods, sugar packets, etc. In the past…they were just tossed in two disorganized baskets. Time to clean that up!

At the antique store I found an adorable handcrafted pottery teapot that I knew would be perfect to hold our little creamer cups. It has the artist’s initials on the bottom and it’s in a pretty turquoise color which works well in our coastal and beach kitchen theme. All the accent colors in our kitchen are turquoise, aqua, sand and white.
One small box of coffee mate creamers fits inside the ceramic teapot. The teapot is much more attractive than a box or basket. I have it sitting on the coffee bar holding the little creamer cups. The stir sticks are now in a glass crystal granulated sugar shaker. I tossed the sugar shaker lid….just using the glass base to hold the stir sticks.
Let’s talk price. I paid $1.50 for the pottery teapot and $1.00 for the crystal glass sugar shaker. Wow, what a deal. Regarding the coffee pods…I have some in a coffee pod organizer alongside our coffee maker and the rest of them are sitting in a basket on the coffee bar. The reorganization of our coffee bar is almost done!
