Last week I needed to toss together a quick and easy dessert. I decided to use a can of Crescent Rolls and a jar of blueberry pie filling that I had personally canned. You can check out my Home Canning Blueberries Recipe for more information on that. I tossed the two together with a little bit of butter in a small baking dish….and wow…it turned out delicious! Here’s exactly how I made this “Blueberry “Style” Cobbler.

Generously butter the bottom and sides of a small baking dish. Opened the can of the Crescent Rolls. I tore the triangles up into small pieces. Cover the bottom of the baking dish with pieces, layer some of the blueberry pie filling on top, place another layer of dough pieces and then additional blueberry pie filling on top. I had a few extra pieces of dough and tossed them on the top too. If desired, you can sprinkle a little bit of ground cinnamon on top.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place the baking dish into the oven. Bake for 12-16 minutes or until the dough portions start to turn brown. You want the flaky dough pieces to bake-through. Remove from the oven and let sit in the baking dish another 5 minutes.
Serving Ideas: You can serve it warm, fresh from the oven. You can let it cool and serve with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream on top or toss a big spoonful of frozen whipped topping on top. It’s entirely up to you if you want to enjoy it warm or cold.
Place any leftovers in a container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
