For the past 2 years my husband has been remodeling our living room. When I say remodeling…he gutted it to the floor boards and wall studs! He put in new hardwood flooring, hung up new drywall, replaced all of the windows and doors, put in a new ceiling with recessed lighting and more! He did all of the work himself, so it has taken some time to complete.

Now comes the fun part…decorating! Over the next few weeks I’ll be showing you some of the home decor pieces that I purchased to decorate our new coastal and beach themed living room.
First up…this large whale metal wall art piece that I just love! The muted colors are perfect against our light gray walls. The room is light gray with accent colors of dark gray and aqua. This piece is large enough to go on a large wall as a stand alone piece or you could add smaller accent pieces around it. It’s made out of light-weight but durable metal. There’s hanging hooks on the back side for easy installation.
It’s a gorgeous piece. One of the things I really like is that I can easily take it down for cleaning. All I need to do is dry-dust it weekly when I’m doing my basic cleaning. Then few times a year I can take it down and wipe it down with a damp cotton cloth. I get tired of putting up wall art that gets dirty and dingy looking over the years. This piece is easy to clean and will look beautiful for years to come.
