Last year I purchased an enameled seahorse trinket box while we were away on vacation. The one boutique gift shop we were in had hundreds of them on display…all equally as beautiful as the next. It took me about 30 minutes to decide on which one I wanted…but finally decided to buy the seahorse. I have a love for anything coastal and beach related.

A few months later my granddaughter gave me an enameled owl trinket box that she had picked up for me. The one place that we stay at when we take family vacations has a faux owl up on their roof to help keep the seagulls away. Well, she picked up the owl trinket box to remind me of that particular owl up on the roof. Inside was a beautiful pair of stud earrings too!
I wouldn’t say that I’m an enameled trinket box collector but I’m turning into one…slowly. Why? Well, my husband got me an adorable enameled lighthouse trinket box for Valentine’s Day which I just love! All three of them look cute displayed together on a shelf in my curio cabinet. Inside each one I wrote a little note on where the box came from, who gave it to me, what it reminds me of and when I received it.
Trinket Boxes are fun to collect. They come in thousands of different designs and perfect for any gift-giving occasion. Plus, they don’t take up a lot of room if your limited on display space. Great for apartment dwellers, condos and dorms.
