I’m in my 50’s and as I’ve aged I’ve noticed hairs popping up on my face and in oddball places. You know what I’m talking about ladies…chin hairs, side burns, upper lip, hairs on my knuckles, inside my ears and nostrills and all sorts of places where I don’t want any hair!!! Every 2 weeks I go looking for those unwanted hairs and I get rid of them!!!

Last month my 2 year old shaver and hair trimmer finally bit the dust. I got online and I purchased the Beautech 2-in-1 Mini Shaver that I found through an online retailer. I won’t mention which one. I paid $9.99 plus tax and shipping. Affordable…yes…but the quality isn’t great!
The mini shaver is rechargeable and comes with the USB charging cord. It also comes with 2 tips that you can change in and out. According to the ad and packaging…it’s ideal for face, ear, eyebrow, nose and leg hairs. It says it has a high-speed motor (I disagree with that) and is light-weight and compact. I travel a lot, so light-weight and compact is important to me. It is those two things.
Now…here’s the problems. It’s mostly made out of cheap, thin plastic. While it may look like metal…it’s metal colored plastic. Almost every time I touch my skin with it…it stops working. Say what? Yeah. Disappointing. How can I remove hair if everytime I touch my skin with it…it stops working? Ugh. The two tips are easily changed in and out…but again, plastic and don’t do much good.
I really dislike writing a negative review on a product but on the TCC blog we believe in HONESTY when publishing reviews for our readers to read. If you are going to purchase this specific item it may be okay for a young girl who is just starting to shave. However…for a woman like me…it was a waste of my money. It’s pretty to look at…but it didn’t sufficiently do the job that it was intended to do.
