Two months ago I purchased the BONKERS Purr Pops Freeze-Dried Chicken Treats for Cats from Amazon. Romeo has never had a lickable lollipop type of treat before, so I was unsure if he would like them. These meat sticks are made out of 100% freeze-dried chicken…nothing else. That’s right…it’s the only ingredient listed on the package.
The package describes them best as a meaty, chewy, crunchy and bitey cat-candy made with 100% freeze-dried chicken served on a stick. You want to store them in a cool, dry and dark place. They don’t need any type of refrigeration. They recommend them as a special supplemental treat. They’re not meant to replace your cat’s regular food.
The Purr Pop is served on a stick, so we hold the stick while Romeo licks. He always starts off licking the treat for a bit and then eventually it cumbles into pieces which he quickly laps up with his tongue. The stick isn’t edible, so you’ll need to throw that away. What’s nice is that this is a no-mess, no-fuss lickable cat treat. Great for travel too!
