We do a lot of traveling and will often take our boy Romeo along with us. He recently out-grew his old carrier, so it was time to get him a new one. When it comes to pet carriers we like them to be light-weight, but yet sturdy. They need to be easy for us to get our cat in and out of…so we prefer a top loading carrier.

We purchased a Soft-Sided Large Cat Pet Carrier from Amazon and love it. It has all of the features we were looking for. It’s light-weight, sturdy and has plenty of mesh-type of windows for air-flow. Our boy likes to see where he’s going! This carrier isn’t flimsy and it won’t collapse. It has auto-locking zippers for security.
It will hold one large cat (comfortably) or 2-3 small baby kittens. I believe it holds 15-20 lbs, so puppies or a very small dog would probably fit too. There’s a comfortable fleece pad inside for your kitty to lay on along with a foam layer. Hey…cats want to be comfortable too! What’s really nice is that it’s easy to clean. You can toss it into the washing machine (gentle cycle) and hang to dry or spot-clean it.
