Do you have one of those Amazon Bin Stores located near you? We had one “pop up” a year ago that sold unopened boxes from returned Amazon purchases or undeliverable items. It was a popular store to shop at if you were looking for bargains. The problem was…you couldn’t open the box to see what was inside. So, you were basically purchasing Mystery Boxes at a bargain price. After a year, that store closed.
Fast forward to now. A Bargains Bin Store opened up a couple of months ago about 20 minutes from our home. We’ve been seeing their Facebook Ads and finally had the time to go. They’re ONLY open 4 days a week, Saturday through Tuesday. They sell Amazon merchandise all at bargain prices! The items are customer returns, discontinued products, items that weren’t deliverable, whatever.
The difference with this new place is this…we can see what we’re buying! There’s no mystery boxes. The items are displayed on store shelving and in large bins. Nothing is organized, so you really need to go through everything to see what they have. The other change is this…
On Saturday everything is $10 each, on Sunday it drops to $8 each, Monday to $5 each and finally on Tuesday everything in the store is $2.00 each. Then they close…restock the shelves and bins to re-open on Saturday with more merchandise. Basically…you want to go early to get the best items before everything gets picked over. However, if you’re looking to spend the least amount of money for whatever is left…you go on Tuesday.
Here are the 4 bargains that we got when we were there: A medium-sized pet carrier, a woman’s smart watch, a solar robot building set and a drone. Each item was $10.00 plus tax.
