Homemade Dry Rub Steak Seasoning Recipe
We’ve finally been having nice weather and been enjoying time outdoors. From spring through fall we like to utilize our barbecue grill 3-5 times a week to make dinner. Heck, on the weekends will use it multiple times to make lunch and dinner! Our food just tastes better and grilling keeps our house from heating up during the summertime.

Steaks are something we really enjoy eating. We will spend the extra money to buy great cuts of beef from the local grocery store or butcher. We like to season our steaks a variety of different ways. Today, I’m sharing one of our favorite homemade dry rub steak seasoning recipes with you. It’s super-easy to make.
For the past 2 years I’ve been using spices and seasoning blends from Selefina. They sell high-quality products from all around the world. They’re my number one go-to source for spices, seasoning blends, gourmet salts, dried fruits, gourmet cocoa, etc. The majority of ingredients listed before are from Selefina.
Homemade Dry Rub Steak Seasoning Recipe
2-3 Tbsp. Fine Pink Himalayan Salt
3 Tbsp. Smoked Paprika
1 Tbsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder
2 Tbsp. Oregano Flakes
1 Tsp. Parsley Flakes
1 Tbsp. + 1 Tsp. Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp. Ground Cumin
1 Tsp. Ground Black Pepper
Mix all of the spices and brown sugar together in a small bowl. Rub the seasoning on all sides of the steak. Rub it in good! Let the steak sit for 15 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate them until you’re ready to cook them.
If you have the time…I recommend that you season them and then place them in a container. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight. This will really help the flavors to infuse. Take them out of the refrigerate and let them sit for 15-20 minutes at room temperature before you place them on a preheated, hot barbecue grill.
You can double and triple up the ingredients listed above and store the seasoning in a small container for later use. That way you save time in the future when it comes to seasoning your steaks.
