Competing for a Parking Spot in a Crowded Parking Lot

Last month I needed to have a few tests done as an outpatient at one of our local hospitals. Just like everyone, I hate going near a hospital….especially if that visit has something to do with me! My plan was to go early in the morning so that I could get in and out quickly. Well…wrong!

I got there in the morning and drove around for 30 minutes looking for a parking spot. They have 3 visitor parking areas so I drove around each one several times. I was losing my patience…fast. Yes, the hospital was busy on that day…but a lot of the problem was a flock of Canadian Geese! Yes, a flock of geese had taken over the parking lot! There were about 25-30 of them all over the 3 lots!

Those Canadian Geese were struting their stuff all over the place. Seriously, they thought they owned the place. Lucky for them…visitors were doing their best to be patient with them. After 30 minutes of driving around I finally pulled into a parking space. The geese that were in that particular lot decided to all move over to the lot next door. Yay!
