Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach in North Wildwood
Our family decided to spend the Easter holiday down at the beach. We spent 4 days over the holiday in North Wildwood, New Jersey. While we were down there we got to participate in several local holiday activities. Gotta love this time of the year and the family-friendly FREE events that you can attend!
North Wildwood and Wildwood each had their own Easter Egg Hunts on the beach. We were able to go to both. These events attracted thousands of people! There were long lines at both but the kids were excited to get out onto the beach to start looking for…or to start digging for…Easter Eggs! Most kids came prepared with sand buckets and shovels or bags to hold all of their goodies!
The Easter bunny was roaming around to greet visitors. Funny how some kids love visiting with the Easter bubby while others are too afraid. The bunny visited with a lot of young kids and adults which was really fun!
After the egg hunt we headed up onto the boardwalk for some shopping. The majority of the boardwalk stores and eateries were open! We have been down during the month of April before (not over Easter) and have never seen crowds like this. They had a very nice draw of people (local and travelers) to their Easter holiday events.
A lot of the local restaurants were open (on and off of the boardwalk) and ran Easter dinner specials. The majority were crowded and many required reservations made ahead of time. You could enjoy a traditional holiday meal or something else from their menu offerings. We ate WELL the 4 days that we were down there!
Hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday.
