To Die Alone tells the story of Irving, a reserved solo hiker, who crosses paths with Ford, a charismatic EMT, while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. Drawn together by the wilderness, they set off toward a remote lake — but their journey takes a terrifying turn when Irving suffers a catastrophic injury while swimming. Stranded deep in the forest, with the off-season elements closing in and infection looming, the two must navigate the unforgiving terrain in a desperate fight for survival. As nature turns hostile and the odds stack against them, To Die Alone will leave you questioning: how far would you go to stay alive?

Directed and written by Austin Smagalski (Donovan Reid), To Die Alone is produced by Austin Smagalski of Glass Creek Films and Connie Jo Sechrist, in association with Charming Stranger Films. Executive producers include G.W. Smagalski and Kai Smagalski. The cast includes James Tang (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, NCIS: Los Angeles) and Lisa Jacqueline Starrett (Get Away, Nine Days).

“To Die Alone is a story about survival, both physical and emotional,” said director Austin Smagalski. “Everyone on this project worked to make it a film that will have you laughing one moment, crying the next, and walking away changed for the better.”
