Hershey’s Chocolate World Factory Tour

March 26, 2025 by Classystaff

Hershey's Chocolate World Factory TourWe live about 15 minutes from downtown Hershey where you’ll find Hershey’s Chocolate World. Even though we live close by…we don’t get there as often as we would like. However, when we do go…my grandchildren love it. Okay, I admit, I love it too!

The grandchildren always enjoy doing the Hershey’s Chocolate World Factory Tour which is a free ride within Hershey’s Chocolate World. You sit in these cars that take you on a ride through the “factory” giving you the history of Hershey’s Chocolate from cocoa bean to chocolate candy. Along the way they make it fun with automated exhibits, music, etc.

Once the factory tour ride concludes they give you a minature Hershey’s chocolate candy bar. They kids eat their’s right away while I save mine for later. You will be given the option of purchasing a photograph that they take of you and your family on the ride. We opt out due to price.

After the tour we like to do a little shopping at Hershey’s Chocolate World to pick up some chocolate candies and gifts to take home. They have all kinds of souvenirs and gifts like seasonal items, home decor, t-shirts, ball caps, tote bags, stuffed characters, toys, cooking and kitchen items, etc. Something for everyone.

Before heading home we stop at the Food Court to grab some ice cream or a milkshake as a little treat. You can get burgers, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, french fries, pizza and other type’s of your typical foods that you would find at a food court.

Hershey’s Chocolate World can get extremely crowded during the summertime when it’s tourist season. Trying visiting during the daytime and weekday hours if you’re trying to avoid the crowds. If you live locally, go during the off-season during a weekday. It’s a fun place for you and the family to visit.
