Every month I purchase a new cat toy for our boy Romeo. He’s a 4 year old domestic short hair cat that we rescued when he was only 3 months old. It’s important as cat parents (pet owners) that we provide plenty of physical activity for him. This keeps him healthy and happy! We want him to be a part of our lives for as long as we can have him!

I purchased the SPOT Shaggy Plush Ferret Rattle and Catnip Cat Toy from Amazon. Our boy is picky about his toys, so it can often be a hit or miss with the items that we buy for him. I’m happy to report that this was a HIT! This cat toy is designed to appeal to your cat’s natural instinct to play and exercise.
They call the “animal” a ferret but in all honesty it looks more like a furry rodent with a long tail to me. I think it looks the same way to Romeo too! It’s furry and fuzzy with a rattle inside to stimulate him with noise. It’s not a loud rattle…just loud enough for those who are close by to hear it. From tip to tail it measures just under 11″ in length.
Like all toys the smell of the catnip wears off pretty quickly. We solve that problem by spraying his toys once a week with a catnip spray that we also purchase from Amazon. The spray rescents them with that highly intoxicating catnip smell. Romeo goes WILD for it!!! Both products are available on Amazon for a really affordable price.
