Pillsbury Funfetti Hot Cocoa Cookie Mix

Back in October I purchased a box of the Pillsbury Funfetti Hot Cocoa Cookie Mix to make with my grandchildren. Well, 4 months later we finally got around to make them. This is a seasonal flavor that they come out with. It contains natural and artificial flavors.  Each package will make approximately 30-34 cookies.

To make the Pillsbury Funfetti Hot Cocoa Cookies you’ll need to add two additional ingredients: 1 stick of butter or margarine and 1 egg. That’s it! You mix the cookie mix with the two ingredients and then drop the dough onto your ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8-12 minutes. It was really easy for the kids to mix up and to drop onto the baking sheet. We got a total of 29 cookies from the mix.

The package includes an additional recipe to make The Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Cookie Cups if you’re interested in making those instead.

Let’s talk about taste. They remind of a moist and chewy chocolete brownie with mini marshmallows tossed in. They had a really nice taste to them. They baked well with no crunchy edges, so I think their recommended 375 degrees F for 8-12 minutes is very accurate. You don’t want to bake them longer if you want to keep them moist and chewy. 

This was our first time trying the Pillsbury Funfetti Hot Cocoa Cookies Mix and will defintely purchase it again if we see it. Can’t find it at your local grocery store? Check out Amazon.
