Businesses Who Need BETTER Customer Service
Businesses all across the country are competing for our business and that includes shipping companies and the United States Post Office. Decades ago you only had 1-2 choices when it came to shipping a package but now…the customer has several options available to them.
We live 10 minutes from our local United States Post Office so often times we were using them just for the convenience of not having to travel far to send a package. However…these days their customer service is extremely lacking!!!
At our local branch office they’re very under-staffed. Saturdays are a busy time and it seems that a lot of people hit the Post Office to buy stamps, mail letters or to ship packages on a Saturday. With that said, why isn’t the U. S. Post Office prepared for that? Every stinking time we go in there on a Saturday there’s 1 or 2 clerks on duty.
Come on now…it’s not Christmas time so there should be no long lines out the doors. I’m tired of standing in line for 30 minutes (or longer) to ship one package on a Saturday. You need to hire more staff and have more clerks running those registers. Not only do you need more staff…how about talking to the 1-2 who are there about their attitudes? It’s not the customers fault that they’re so busy and can’t get away for a lunch break. Don’t take it out on us!
While I’m complaining about our local U. S. Post Office…how about hiring people who can speak clear English? Around here…English is the language. The one clerk has terrible English and it’s always hard to understand what she’s asking and trying to tell us. We’re not the only customers who have that problem with her. We see other customers asking her constantly to repeat herself.
No wonder the U.S. Post Office is having financial problems. They need a complete over-haul. We need our mail and packages delivered on time. We need you to hire enough employees so that we’re not standing in long lines. We need you to fire employees with bad attitudes and furthermore…make sure they can speak clear ENGLISH when engaging with customers! Enough said!
